CSU is a student organization that strives to increase a student’s exposure to computing clubs, research, independent projects, academic resources, and more by consolidating information about all aspects of computing student life at UF.
The Computing Student Union started as a list of computing organizations on the whiteboard of a Marston Library study room.
The rapid expansion of the computing community at the University of Florida calls for a structure that unites our resources and brings our many organizations together to serve the student body in a more collaborative and sustainable manner.
As a community, students have continually examined the UF computing landscape, identified pain points, and devised solutions for them. CSU welcomes motivated students who have an idea and will take on the challenge of making it a reality.
Whether it be a new tool, club, event, or course, we can provide you the structure to build and launch your project.By facilitating the intersection of all computing life, we believe that we can help students achieve higher academic and career success, thus further solidifying the University of Florida as a computing-forward institution.
